Password Creation Tips [Submission]
The Technology department has created a helpful guide to help you create a password that meets all of the LISD Password Policy requirements.
Guide
Let's start by thinking about our password as more of a “pass-phrase.” We can accomplish this by implementing the following guidelines.
-
Think of four random words.
Example: tablet, brain, elevate, school -
Pick one word and capitalize each of its letters. This will satisfy the requirement to include at least one uppercase letter.
Example: tablet >> TABLET -
Pick another word to leave as is. This will satisfy the requirement to include at least one lowercase letter.
Example: brain >> brain -
Pick another word to leave as is. This will satisfy the requirement to include at least one number.
Example: elevate >> 3l3vat3 -
Incorporate at least one special character into one of the words. This will satisfy the requirement to use at least one special character.
Example: school >> sc#ool -
Enjoy your new pass-phrase!
Example: TABLETbrain3l3vat3sc#ool
